Every trade professional on Guildyn goes through license verification, proof of insurance, and work history review before being matched to any project. We don't rely on reviews alone.
Guildyn charges a 6% coordination fee on each milestone payment, plus ~2.9% for payment processing (handled by Stripe). That brings the total to ~9% per project — compared to the 15–30% markup typical with a general contractor. No bundled pricing, no hidden layers.
During our beta period, access is completely free for trade professionals. We're focused on building the right experience before introducing any subscription tiers.
All payments are milestone-based. You add your payment method once, and funds are released as milestones are completed and approved by the homeowner. No upfront lump sums, no chasing invoices.
Guildyn is designed for residential renovations in the $5,000–$50,000 range — kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and similar multi-trade projects. Not handyman tasks, not full custom builds.
Yes. You get matched based on your trade, location, experience, and availability. You review the project details and decide whether it's a fit. No one is assigned to anything without opting in.
Every project runs on a 13-article agreement that covers scope, milestones, payment schedule, change order process, and a 1-year warranty. Each trade signs their own individual contract with the homeowner.
